Dining in the College

Burgmann College is a fully catered college, where residents are provided with 21 meals per week. A large variety of meals are provided, and all dietary requirements can be catered for.

The college is catered by CaterCare Australia (CCA). Every term CCA will do one Theme Night, which is one of the residents' favourite events in the College. During a theme night, CCA will decorate the dining hall to suit the particular theme, and will have extra treat on the menu that suits the theme. Residents are encouraged to dress up according to the theme as well. In the past, we have had:

  • Chinese Night
  • Indonesian Night
  • Hollywood Night
  • Mexican Night


Hollywood Night

Postgraduates are entitled to have Sunday dinner free of charge.  The possible other arrangements are:

  1. Casual meal – one off tickets:   $10.00 inclusive GST
  2. Books of 5 meal tickets:  $38.50 inclusive GST can be used at any meal time.
  3. Meal Package of 21 meals eg: 3 meals per day x 7days:  $161.70
  4. Variations to the set meal package – contact reception for details ($7.70 per meal)

Continental Breakfast Daily - including porridge in winter, variety of cereals with a choice of full, trim and soya milk, yoghurts, a variety of preserved fruits, crumpets, muffins, variety of breads for toasting, margarine and a variety of spreads, teas, coffee, milo, hot chocolate, 100% orange juice.

Hot Breakfast Monday to Friday excluding Public Holidays - a daily selection of eight items from variety of eggs, sausages, bacon, ham, savory mince, hashbrowns, tomatoes, corn fritters, mushrooms, baked beans and spaghetti.
