An Independant Lifestyle
Burgmann Village is a vibrant and dynamic community of 120 residents who live in self-contained studio or shared apartments on the Burgmann College campus.
There are six Village blocks set in quiet landscaped gardens, containing a mix of 2 to 5 bedroom apartments and single studios. Village accommodation is carpeted and has self-catered, and flexi catered options available.
Accommodation Options
There are four types of accommodation options:
- 5 Bedroom Apartments
- 3 Bedroom Apartments
- 2 Bedroom Apartments
- Studios
5 Bedroom Apartments
Each apartment has a shared kitchen which has plenty of cupboards for storage space, four hot plates and an oven. There are two showers and two toilets. There are also apartments suitable for disabled accommodation and these have a slightly different configuration. Each resident in the apartment has a private room with a lock containing a standard single bed and a study desk. A TV port is available with an external antenna on top of each building.
2 & 3 Bedroom Apartments
On the ground floor of each building there is one 2-bedroom apartment. Some are given to the residential advisors of each block with the remaining available for resident accommodation. The 3-bedroom apartments are identical to the 2-bedroom apartments, with an extra room and a bigger common area. There are only four 3-bedroom apartments. The facilities for these two types of apartments are the same as those found in the 5-Bedroom apartments.
Studios
Due to the high demand for studios, first year postgraduate residents may apply but are not guaranteed to be given a studio apartment. These are self-contained units which include a queen size bed, bedside table, desk, adjustable desk chair, lamp, wardrobe, kettle, toaster, heater, 2 bins, ensuite bathroom with shower/shower curtain, toilet/toilet brush, washbasin, mirror and cupboard. The kitchen has two hot plates, microwave oven, sink, cupboards and bar fridge.
