As I reflect on my first nine months as Principal of Burgmann College, I am filled with pride and a profound sense of responsibility. Returning to Burgmann, where I once lived as a resident, has been a deeply meaningful experience. This College has always fostered growth, connection, and cherished memories, and it is a privilege to serve our community in this new capacity.
One of the most rewarding parts of my role has been engaging with our alumni. Hearing your stories about how Burgmann has evolved over the years—what has changed for the better and what has remained constant—has been both enlightening and inspiring. The spirit of Burgmann, with its commitment to community, inclusiveness, and personal development, continues to thrive.
I have also enjoyed getting to know my colleagues better, reinforcing my appreciation for their passion and dedication. Our staff’s commitment to supporting residents and alumni is truly remarkable, and I am grateful to work alongside such talented individuals.
Listening to our residents has been fundamental to my approach. Their insights are invaluable as we work to enhance the residential experience while safeguarding the unique aspects of Burgmann that so many hold dear. Our community's strength lies in its ability to adapt and grow while staying true to its core values, and I am committed to building on the legacy established over the past 50 years.
