Principal Sally Renouf admitted as a lawyer

On 19 August 2016, our Principal, Ms Sally Renouf, was formally admitted to the Supreme Court of the ACT as a lawyer, having completed her Juris Doctor in 2013. The ceremony was held in Court 1 in Canberra, where she and several other successful and budding lawyers were admitted.

As is the custom, a practising Solicitor or Barrister must present an applicant to the court. On this occasion, there could be no better proposer than her Barrister husband, Mr Brodie Buckland, who proudly announced her name, adding the words ‘my wife’, much to the muted amusement of the three Justices sitting on the bench.

It was a delightful ceremony and a fitting end to many years of study. Congratulations, Sally!
