In focus: Rittwick Visen finds connection and purpose through photography
Alumnus Rittwick Visen’s (2018–2019) journey to Burgmann College, and eventually his current role as the International Student Recruitment Lead for the College of Engineering, Computing and Cybernetics (CECC) at the ANU, all began with a camera.
After serving as Burgmann's Housekeeping Manager for nearly 24 years, Burgmann College was honoured to recognise Steve Mundy with the Burgmann College Staff Recognition Award for his outstanding service to Burgmann College, demonstrating leadership through service, with empathy, support and care for Burgmann residents and staff at the centre of all that he does.
Visiting Fellow (2024–2025) Dr Brett Davies LLM, MBA, SJD was recognised with the 2025 Burgmann College Volunteer Award for his initiative, patience, and generosity to the Burgmann Community. In reviving the Burgmann Journal, he has given residents the opportunity to have their work published in a peer-reviewed academic journal.
Burgmann College was honoured to recognise alum Sarah Rosenberg (2015–2016) with the 2025 Burgmann College Outstanding Alumni Award for her work as Executive Director and Co-Founder of With You We Can, supporting victims of sexual violence and improving police and legal processes for sexual abuse cases.
Internationally-renowned biophysicist and Burgmann alum Prof Graham Farquhar AO, FAA, FRS (1971) is the recipient of the 2025 Burgmann College Distinguished Alumni Award.
