A Door to Fun, Friendship and Freedom
David Turbane recently returned to Burgmann for a tour and to visit his old room, which now carries his name as one of our Name My Door supporters. "As a student I had always wanted to be at Burgmann College," David says. " I recall how new and exciting it was to come into Burgmann in its beginnings. It feels special to be part of Burgmann's history as a resident in its foundation year of 1971."

Burgmann Ball 2026
On the evening of 20 August, residents, former residents, and their guests stepped onto a red carpet at Gold Creek Station for the 2026 Burgmann Ball, one of the most anticipated nights on the college calendar. This year's Casino Royale theme transformed the Gold Creek property into a glittering casino floor, complete with giant playing card statues, blackjack, roulette, and a spinning wheel. A huge thank you to host Craig, and to Ball Chair Suki and the committee, for a night that had the Burgmann spirit on full display.

On 12 August 2026, first year resident Khuslen Batmandakh was presented with the 2026 C.A.S. Hawker Scholarship by Senator Andrew McLachlan at Parliament House in Canberra.
