Burg Queer* Update | Semester 1 2021

Semester 1 kicked off with the annual Queer* Night In, a forum where all ressies are invited to discuss queer issues, share stories, and learn from each other in a safe and welcoming space. We then moved to Mardi Gras Paint 'n Sip, a night of groovy tunes and Pride-themed painting where we crafted an incredible new Pride banner for the Dining Hall (pictured). We also continued the tradition of Queer* Coffee, a chance for our LGBT+ ressies to chat and bond over a coffee or two.

To close out the semester, some of our Queer* ressies spoke about their experience of coming out and living out at College and beyond, in the annual Coming Out Panel. Overall, an incredible semester, with more to come later in the year.
