Sybilla Delaney Awarded the 2025 College Medal

We are delighted to celebrate Burgmann resident Sybilla Delaney, who was awarded the 2025 College Medal at our annual Commencement Dinner, with a GPA of 7 and the highest WAM of her cohort. This prestigious award recognises Sybilla’s outstanding contribution to College life, her academic dedication, and the generosity of spirit she brings to the Burgmann community.

Currently in her second year of a Bachelor of Health Science, Sybilla aspires to pursue a career in medicine. She has already demonstrated a strong commitment to learning, service and leadership, making a meaningful impact on those around her.

Sybilla speaks warmly of her experience at Burgmann, describing it as “a community that consistently supports and uplifts its residents, and one that fosters curiosity, growth and ongoing learning.” Her enthusiasm for the College reflects the supportive and intellectually engaged environment she both values and helps to create.

We look forward to seeing Sybilla continue to flourish in her studies and in her remaining years as a Burgmann resident, and we can’t wait to see all that she will achieve in the future.

Generous Donor Funds Two Communications Interns

In 2026, Burgmann College set out to create a meaningful opportunity for residents to become actively involved in college communications and to play a role in shaping how we connect with our wider community. We are deeply grateful to our donor, whose generosity made it possible to appoint three interns rather than one. This support has not only enabled these talented residents to gain hands‑on professional experience but has also enriched our community by empowering residents to help tell the Burgmann story from the inside out.
